• I believe contemporary art exhibitions it the easiest way to get out of your comfort zone and build new connections between neurons
I was born in Lithuania, just before the collapse of the Soviet Union. I was too young to understand the importance of the events that occurred in my childhood. But I learned that changes are inevitable and never took freedom for granted.
I started my career in the banking sector. The experience in the corporate culture helped me build my own businesses. I knew exactly what I didn't want to repeat in my company. Then I followed my passion for art and worked with contemporary art collectors. This is when I became more curious about the world, came back to trusting my intuition, and became more conscious about my choices.
Today I am CEO and co-founder of The Remote Company. The organization that invests in online businesses with remote teams. Its portfolio includes companies such as Ycode, MyZenTeam, and Partnero.
The Remote Company was born on the grounds of the small Lithuanian product serving local customers - MailerLite. Co-founding and spearheading MailerLite’s marketing efforts I created a global brand with more than a million customers. In 2022, the company was sold for over 90 million USD.
Our formula to success is a remote and global team and intentional company culture. In 8 years a team of 140 people from 30 different countries developed ways to connect remotely, learned to communicate asynchronously, and refined team events to be meaningful and engaging.
